Entry Details
Overview
The Entry Detail page shows the complete submission for a single form entry - every field value and submission metadata. It is the best place to review a lead in full and move individual entries to trash.
You reach this page by clicking the View (eye) icon on any row in the Entries Form 7 list. The page is not shown in the sidebar menu; it opens when you view a specific entry.
Why Use Entry Details?
The detail view helps you:
See the full submission including file uploads and formatted field types
Review metadata such as IP address, browser, and submission page URL
Move individual entries to trash
Before You Begin
At least one entry must exist in your database
You must be logged in as an Administrator
Step-by-Step Instructions
Open an Entry

Go to Entries Form 7.
Find the entry you want to review.
Click the View (eye) icon in the Actions column.
The Entry Detail page opens. The entry is automatically marked as Read.
Review Submitted Fields

The left panel displays all form field values.
Field types are displayed intelligently:
Email - Clickable mailto link
URL - Clickable link opening in a new tab
File / File-upload - Image preview for images; icon and filename for other file types
Acceptance - Checkmark when accepted
Text and other - Plain text value
Date, time, and datetime fields are formatted using your WordPress site date format.
Review Submission Metadata

The right panel Details section shows:
Entry Id - Unique database ID (e.g., #42)
Form - Form title
IP Address - Visitor IP with country name when available
Submitted Date - Date and time of submission
System - Operating system and browser icons (when collected)
URL - Page where the form was submitted
IP address and browser data are only collected if enabled in Entries Form 7 → Settings. See Settings.
Move Entry to Trash

Click the Trash button at the bottom of the left panel.
Confirm the action in the popup dialog.
You are returned to the entries list. The entry now appears under the Trash tab.
Return to the Entries List
Click Back to Entries at the top of the page.
You return to the list filtered to the same form.
Example
Tom receives a WPForms submission from a potential client. He opens the Entry Detail page and reviews the message, phone number, and attached PDF brochure.
He notes the submission URL to see which landing page the lead came from, then marks the entry as read from the entries list after following up by email.
Tips
💡 Click email addresses to open your mail client directly from the detail page.
💡 File uploads link to the actual file - click to download or view in a new tab.
💡 Check the submission URL to see which page the visitor was on when they submitted the form.
💡 Disable IP tracking in Settings if you do not need geographic or IP data for compliance reasons.
Notes
Trashed entries cannot be viewed. If you try to open a trashed entry directly, you are redirected to the entries list.
The detail page is read-only for form field values. You cannot edit what the visitor submitted.
Opening an entry marks it as Read to help you track which submissions you have reviewed.
Country lookup uses an external service. IP-to-country resolution queries ipapi.co when viewing the detail page.
