FAQs

Do I need Contact Form 7, WPForms, and Elementor Pro?

No. You need at least one supported form plugin. Install whichever form builders you use on your site.

Do I need to configure each form separately?

No. All supported forms are captured automatically. You filter and manage them from the Entries Form 7 dashboard.

Where do I find the plugin after activation?

Look for Entries Form 7 in the left sidebar of your WordPress dashboard.

Does the plugin replace Contact Form 7 or WPForms?

No. Your form builder remains in place. This plugin adds database storage and management on top.

Are entries saved if the form email fails to send?

For Contact Form 7, entries are saved at the wpcf7_before_send_mail stage, which runs before the email is dispatched. The entry is typically stored even if email delivery fails afterward.

Can I stop capturing entries for a specific form?

The plugin captures all supported forms automatically. To exclude a form, you would need a custom development solution. As a workaround, you can filter and manage entries by form in the dashboard.

Do form visitors see anything different?

No. The capture runs in the background. Visitors see only your normal form behavior.

Can I delete all entries at once?

Use bulk select and Move to Trash, then switch to the Trash tab and use Delete Permanently. There is no "delete all" button - select entries manually or in batches.

What is the difference between Read and Unread?

Unread entries have not been opened on the Entry Detail page. Read entries have been viewed at least once (or manually marked as read).

Why are forms grouped in the dropdown?

Forms from Contact Form 7, WPForms, and Elementor Pro are organized by plugin type so you can quickly find the form you need.

Can I edit submitted field values?

No. The detail page is read-only for form field values. You cannot change what the visitor submitted from this screen.

Why is system information missing?

IP address and browser data may be disabled in Settings, or the visitor's browser did not provide a user agent string

Do these settings apply to Contact Form 7, WPForms, and Elementor Pro?

Yes. The privacy settings apply globally to all form submissions captured by the plugin.

Can I delete IP data from existing entries?

These settings do not retroactively remove data. Existing entries keep their stored metadata. You would need to delete those entries or use a database tool to remove historical metadata.
